That's right. Everyone give Oxfez a round applause. When I can update the site again in 4 weeks you'll be able to see his great work.

Thank you very much!

I'm up to the scene where Dagless confronts the Scottish warriors on Episode 5...

I'm noticing a ton of new stuff by watching it at half speed and as thoroughly as I am!

I probably need to get out more.

Hoorah! They're up...

Now's the time I notice I've made a ton of mistakes on the scripts!

Actually there are a lot more mistakes on the subtitles. I don't know whether the subtitles are the original script or if they were written by someone who didn't get the point of the 'bad' dialogue and tried to fix it...

For example in Hell Hath Fury Liz says:
"I guess being told I couldn't get a chicken supper was the straw that broke this camel's back."

The subtitles have this written up as:
"l guess being told l couldn't get a chicken supper was the last straw."

I guess the meaning is still there but this was just one example I noticed while watching that didn't quite capture the spirit of Darkplace.

It seems like subtitle authors are kind of OK with getting the gist of the dialog, instead of absolutely perfect.

Bah! I could do better...

Though in fairness, the dialogue is mainly delivered quite fast, and it's very hard to keep up if you're trying to read it along. So I think some paraphrasing is inevitable.
