Skipper the Eye-Child/Halloween
My friend invited me to a halloween party last week when we were both drunk. In my drunken state, I texted her back "I want to go as something from Darkplace". Confusion then ensued, as I had to then decide which character. Liz Asher would have been easy: eighties wig and lab coat, but as you can tell from the title, Skipper the eye-child was my choice.
I made my giant-eye mask and fashioned a bobble hat. A pink top was purchased (I had to do it on the cheap, just bought a flat).
The party was last night, and going in, I was hugely worried no-one would know what the hell I was. Not a problem. As I walked in with the mask on, all I could hear was shouts of "Skipper!! The eye-child!!!!". One party-goer even claimed I was his new best friend because of "the genius of my outfit" All through the evening, shouts of "Skipper!!" punctured my ear drums. So for the most part, the costume was a success. I did get a few blank faces though.
Anyone else dressing up as Darkplace characters for Halloween?

That's a great idea, I just need to find a lab coat to go with my black shirt and purple tie and wala! Just a quick note, if you submit pictures of yourself in darkplace gear here you get a signed copy of the DVD, though with Halloween coming up your going to have some competition.

I have access to an abundance of lab coats, I work in a lab . Unfortunately, I don't think I could get you one, it has the company logo on the pocket.

Re: Skipper the Eye-Child/Halloween
I couldn't find a Dagless-style wig or I would have been out on the town the other night in full Darkplace gear.
Lab coats are usually found in weird places -I knew an old army-surplus store that sold them.
Instead I went out as Borat - I was convinced I looked !@#$ all like it, but everyone recognised me instantly.
