One Track Lover - Extended DVD Edition

How would I go about ripping the audio to put on my iTunes?

Hmmm. Well with the software on this computer I would use Xilisoft's DVD ripper platinum software to rip the DVD into a DivX file (or whatever avi), then use VirtualDub to cut out the exact bit I want, then use the save to WAV option. Then I would use a free WAV to MP3 converter (google it, there seems to be loads) and import to iTunes in the usual way. Dunno if VirtualDub can grab straight from DVD, so may be able to cut out the Xilisoft bit.

Probably a better way I would imagine though...

Cheers

I've tried Xilisoft and it comes up with this error message:

Too much samples.

This error may be caused by audio-only titles.
The current version of DVD Audio Ripper doesn't support audio-only titles.

___

Also had similar problems with other rippers. They had similar complaints and suggested "forcing 24hz" (whatever that means) but I couldn't find any way to do so

N.B. This was all from isolating the .ifo file relevant to the song

My Xilisoft DVD ripper crashes. I think it's something to do with the RipGuard protection thats mentioned on the back of the DVD emoticon I thought I would try copying the main VOB files to my hard drive then try converting them, but it seems to be struggling (99 minutes left). Damn. They could have supplied the main songs (theres 5 I believe) in MP3 format too...

If you find how to do it then tell me. I could do with that (and the main titles) on my Pod.

Nope. Some sort of cylical error. Am sure I have heard about that before with anti-copying software. Rats.

Actually doesn't that mean we can campaign for One track lover to be released onto MP3? emoticon

Cheers

Apparently this sort of thing should be sorted by using DVD decrypter. Am trying now...

Arse. ie. It didn't work for toffee. Thats it then. Lets all campaign for the single (exactly as it appears on the DVD) to be released into the charts!

I'm using linux and I know there is a ton of open source software that can bypass encryptions put onto the DVD, only problem is I don't get home until friday and so cannot do anything till then. I'll have a crack at it though once I get it.
