It can only be a good thing to have the two channels to give us more variety and more of a chance that there will be the odd decent comedy shown on our TV at all. It's true that there's a lot of crap out there on both channels, but some people, or should I say most people like these programmes, so obviously the channels will put them on to get the viewers in. But, using the Mighty Boosh as an example of a show that has become pretty popular of late, it shows that people do get it and do like it, just because something is slightly weird or different doesn't mean the 'mainsteam audience' wont accept it. The channels shouldn't be afraid of putting some more (what I would call) 'good' shows on instead of loads of crap. If you think 'Two Pints' is good, imagine watching something that's actually funny, you'd think it was absolutely fabulous! (no pun intended).

I just think it was aired a year or two too soon. Nowadays, the abnormal is much more commonly accepted, or ignored, worldwide.

Saw Matt and Richard on BBC2 tonight, on Armandos' new show Time Trumpet. Thought it was very funny (if you like that sartirical stuff). Anyway good to see them with a big player in the comedy world! Now if only he'd back Darkplace in a big way im sure he could pull some strings somewhere!!!!

The Mighty Boosh has become a sizable hit... and its very similar to Darkplace's humour [not surprising given the talent involved in both], so I reckon that Darkplace may have fared MUCH better on BBC3 - but alas, it was not to be. emoticon

Its a shame they can't do a Men Behaving Badly on us, and make a second season for another channel [in that case itv to bbc, in this - c4 to bbc3].
