Maybe they just don't like Holness? He was in "Mary Poppins" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", has to be one of the most inoffensive people ever. Sorry that just really made me laugh. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nancy28)Mon, 11 Feb 2008 16:00:24 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679374,from=rss#post1679374https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679374,from=rss#post1679374quote:rolypole said: I mean, they've not commissioned a new series of Spaced or Father Ted either... Im sure it would get more ratings, now that mitchell & webb are a household name now. I cant imagine another series of darkplace, I guess of fear it might ruin it for me, like other shows, such as Bo Selecta were ruined by later series'.nondisclosed_email@example.com (spazaza)Fri, 22 Dec 2006 01:16:40 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679353,from=rss#post1679353https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679353,from=rss#post1679353I'd have to disagree. I'd love another series of Man to Man, I have rarely seen something as funny as the Merriman Weir episode.nondisclosed_email@example.com (JazzyJebus)Thu, 21 Dec 2006 20:38:31 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679350,from=rss#post1679350https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679350,from=rss#post1679350A second series would certainly have been better than Man To Man, which was mostly pretty lame, IMHO.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Funkdooby)Thu, 21 Dec 2006 17:37:57 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679349,from=rss#post1679349https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679349,from=rss#post1679349If I've understood the way tv commissioning works, you generally have to tell the commissioning editor you want another series before they consider it!!! Peep show wasnt that bad. So it isnt all that bad. More darkplace would be to good to be true though.nondisclosed_email@example.com (saetiakid)Tue, 19 Dec 2006 01:18:36 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311931,from=rss#post311931https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311931,from=rss#post311931maybe the BBC will pick it up if we hassle them, see my thread on the new link.nondisclosed_email@example.com (nancy28)Thu, 23 Mar 2006 17:20:21 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311930,from=rss#post311930https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311930,from=rss#post311930yer i heard about peep shows low ratings but it is just too good not to make another series, and if people like ricky gervais like it(as he said at the last comedy awards) channel 4 would jump back on it, and IT crowd the same, ash atella, is the director of comedy(or something!) at talkback thames, and graham lineham, wrote it so there is a lot of weight behind it and a lot of string pullingnondisclosed_email@example.com (rodd tivers2nd)Sun, 05 Mar 2006 12:58:13 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311929,from=rss#post311929https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311929,from=rss#post311929'peep show' is very entertaining so a new series of that wont go a miss! However, if DVD's for those shows do indeed come out before Darkplace I think I will actually go beserk and stress that we all storm Channel 4 and much like Dean Learner, get thrown out at reception. We could always head off down the drip afterwards.nondisclosed_email@example.com (JazzyJebus)Sat, 04 Mar 2006 20:15:44 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311927,from=rss#post311927https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311927,from=rss#post311927Well, The Peep show new series is great news. (and I actually quite like the IT crowd) so this post isn't too much of a kicking for me. However it is disappointing that they didn't extend darkplace the same courtisy despite low viewing figures.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SaveDarkplace)Sat, 04 Mar 2006 19:07:15 +0000 Re: Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311926,from=rss#post311926https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311926,from=rss#post311926Is there no justice in the world?nondisclosed_email@example.com (JazzyJebus)Sat, 04 Mar 2006 12:30:52 +0000 Darkplace fans get kicked in the facehttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311925,from=rss#post311925https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p311925,from=rss#post311925Or at least a light slap. Channel 4 has commissioned new series of Friday night comedies Peep Show and The IT Crowd, despite lacklustre ratings for both. Speculation had been rife that the network was planning to axe Peep Show after its most recent series averaged just 1.3 million viewers. Lead actors David Mitchell and Robert Webb, who were being considered for a sketch show project, have now signed on for the fourth series, although it is currently unknown when production will commence. C4 has also given the go-ahead to a second, eight-episode series of office-based sitcom The IT Crowd, for transmission early in 2007. All of the main cast have signed on for series two, as well as series producer Ash Atalla. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds29791.html i bet the Dvds for both shows will be out by the end of the year.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Mugato)Sat, 04 Mar 2006 11:53:05 +0000
