Re: Doing something to get Darkplace noticed
yeah deffinatley. when (and if) the dvd gets released it will certainly be on my shopping list.
but moving back to possibilities re: second series, does anyone actuallly think there is a chance there will ever be one? i really cant see it happening at the moment. if darkplace was owned by the bbc i'm sure it would get endless re-runs until it became recognised and popular, and then get a second series, much like the mighty boosh. alas it is not however.
speaking of the mighty boosh, who do you think would win in a fight, between dixon bainbridge (Mighty Boosh) or Dr. Lucian Sanchez (Darkpace)??????????

Re: Doing something to get Darkplace noticed
Dixon Bainbridge may have a pistol concealed in his moustache, which he may produce quicker than the one Sanchez keeps round his ankle.

Re: Doing something to get Darkplace noticed
***READ ME***
We must all write to Gary Bushell at the People Newspaper.
He loved the series and included it in his 'Hot on TV' section every week it aired. I have written to him, to champion its repeat, but i fear 1 little email isn't enough, we must all email, force his fat hands into action, and bring Darkplace to the mortals.
........Or you could do what my little brother does, and dish out Darkplace DVD copies in the playground?????

Re: Doing something to get Darkplace noticed
I quite enjoy green wing!
just got the box set of the mighty boosh and there are a couple of references to Garth Marenghi's because of Richard A appearing on it.
Cant help but think Dark Place would have faired better on BBC3! It seems they are more willing to give more obscure comedies a chance (and repeat!) Infact i think BBC3 have taken the mantle from ch4 in giving the non mainstream a chance.

Re: Doing something to get Darkplace noticed
I've just e-mailed the Sunday Times Telly and it might get printed in this Sunday Times' Culture Supplement on 2nd April.quote: Green Wing is overrated. As far as innovative original
(Channel 4) hospital comedies go, 2004's neglected gem
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace was far superior.
