I'd like to start a campaign to try and get it nominated.nondisclosed_email@example.com (daaz)Sun, 17 Dec 2006 12:56:57 +0000 Re: BAFTA's and British Comedy Awardshttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679335,from=rss#post1679335https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p1679335,from=rss#post1679335Dude, Garth Marenghi puts those other shows to shame! Ok, it's not much, but it's something. Maybe I'll send them an award myself. Green Wing was broadcast a similar time to Darkplace yet Green Wing was among the nominations and Darkplace was not. I think we should do something to protest. Perhaps we should do a petition (ipetition is a good site), that or attack a judge with a bowl of soup and a pork pie.nondisclosed_email@example.com (daaz)Fri, 16 Dec 2005 20:17:21 +0000 Re: BAFTA's and British Comedy Awardshttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310945,from=rss#post310945https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310945,from=rss#post310945Green Wing possibly got more pre-publicity than Joey, and that's saying something. When I watched Green Wing, I could see original ideas and I generally like the actors, but I really didn't rate the show. Sadly the IMDb entry http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0397150/ reveals Darkplace garnered no awards or nominations. People in the comedy buisness will know how good it is, especially as most of the cast have gone on to diffrent comedy projects. Chris Morris and Armando Ianucci to name but 2 have used most of the cast in recent timesnondisclosed_email@example.com (rodd tivers)Wed, 09 Mar 2005 22:28:14 +0000 Re: BAFTA's and British Comedy Awardshttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310943,from=rss#post310943https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310943,from=rss#post310943Its a pity the show was never consider for any mainstream comedy awards, I think if there were to be a 2nd series the public may pay it more attention, its probabley too late now for the 1st series to get any awards.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SaveDarkplace)Tue, 08 Mar 2005 17:38:42 +0000 BAFTA's and British Comedy Awardshttps://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310942,from=rss#post310942https://bsavedarkplace.runboard.com/p310942,from=rss#post3109422004 BATFAs Best Situation Comedy Winner: The Office Xmas Special Nominated: Hardware, Marion & Geoff, Peep Show Comedy Programme or Series Award Winner: Little Britain Nominated: Bo Selecta, Creature Comforts, Double Take Comedy Performance Winner: Ricky Gervais Nominated: Martin Freeman, Matt Lucas, David Walliams http://www.britishcomedyawards.co.uk/ Best TV Comedy Actor Winner: "Little Britain" (2003) - Matt Lucas; David Walliams Other Nominees: "Office, The" (2001) - Ricky Gervais - For the christmas special.
