Dr Who

I really liked the last series with Chris Eccles and I do like David Tennant as the doctor (he was really good in blackpool) but so far the new series (the first episode and the christmas special) have been a bit of a let down. What do you think? However next week's looks good.

Saw a few episodes of the Eccleston (sp?) one, thought it was one of the worst, most overrated pieces of badly-written, badly-devised/designed pieces of !@#$ I've seen in some time. I'm suprised it was so popular. But then, when Little Britain can be the 'nation's favourite comedy', what else do you expect...

You seem to hate a lot of things DancingFool, but a lot of the time I find myself agreeing due to the state of TV nowadays. All it's doing to me is making me more and more cynical so soon I will have to stop watching it if I want to keep my friends.

Back to the topic though, I'm not liking this new series of Dr Who at all, there I go again emoticon

Hahaha, I dunno, there's a lot of things I like, I just think there's been an awful lot of poor tv recently (well, not even recently, there just always is, and it's more often than not the most 'popular' things, as they have to cater for the lowest common denominator). Wow, that did sound cynical, didn't it? Lolemoticon

I put a pretty big list of comedies that I like on the 'Other Comedies You're Into' thread, so I can't be that bad! emoticon Although not that many of them are that recent... Maybe that's just cos I don't have digital so can't see the 'edgier' things on BBC3 etc, or maybe it's just that I don't have much time to watch telly these days... hmmm... *retires to his pipe and slippers and shouts at the youth of today*

I think the only point of these recent seriess is for the bbc to say look at us we have a long running sci-fi show.

I prefered Billie Piper as a music person! ...or maybe its that I was like 9 years old then? haha
